Questions
Do I need to be a programmer?
No, but you should be comfortable pasting commands into a terminal and following a step-by-step guide. The deploy is one script; the README covers everything else with exact clicks.
Will it really work with my locked-down work account?
If you can sign in to make.powerautomate.com with your work account and add an HTTP trigger, yes — full two-way sync with zero IT approvals. If not, the included free/busy method still gets your work schedule into your personal calendar one-way, with no approvals at all.
What are the running costs?
Google Cloud's free tier covers typical personal use. A heavy setup might cost £1–2 a month. You need a Google billing account either way (Google's rule, not ours).
Is my data safe?
Safer than any hosted alternative: credentials live encrypted in your own project's Secret Manager and Firestore, readable only by your own service. We never see them — there is no "we" in the loop at all.
